In the anime, this monster has 0 DEF and its effect was not a Flip Effect but it would activate whenever a monster attacks it.

In episode 37, Maximillion Pegasus uses this card during his Duel against Yami Yugi. He summons this card in Attack Position. Later Yugi's "Curse of Dragon" attacks this card, Pegasus uses this card's effect to stop the attack and render "Curse of Dragon" immobile. Pegasus then activates "Black Illusion Ritual" to Tribute this card and Ritual Summon "Relinquished".

In the English dub, Pegasus explicitly stated that he created this card exclusively for his Duel with Yugi.

In the Spanish dub of the Anime, this card was known as "Ilusionista de los Ojos Negros".
