"Dragon Capture Jar" affected by "Toon World".

Template:AnimeMangaEffect

  • Maximillion Pegasus first used this card in his first Duel against Yugi Muto. When Yugi tries to summon "Koumori Dragon", Pegasus activates this card to trap and seal "Koumori Dragon". Later Pegasus Flip Summoned "Dragon Piper". This activates its effect, allowing Pegasus to release "Koumori Dragon" and place it under his control as well as destroy this card
  • Pegasus later used this card against Seto Kaiba. After this card was summoned, Pegasus uses this card's effect to absorb one of Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragons and transfer the latter's DEF to the Jar's DEF. He then tried to use the same strategy he used against Yugi in this duel, but Kaiba destroyed "Dragon Piper" with "Swordstalker" before this could happen. However Pegasus used a counter strategy against this which then eventually led to Kaiba losing the duel.
  • In both the Japanese and English versions of the anime, this card was given the Purple Background of a Trap Card in comformity with the OCG/TCG. Nonetheless, it was still played as Monster Card (or a Trap Monster) with the effect from the manga.
  • In the Legendary Heroes arc, Kaiba gets ambushed by a group of "Armed Ninjas" while testing out his new game. One of the Armed Ninjas then threw this card in to capture Seto's Blue-Eyes White Dragon before taking Seto himself captive. Later Kaiba escapes with the help of Mokuba. With the help of another "Blue-Eyes", Kaiba destroys "Witty Phantom". The group of "Armed Ninjas" reappear as the Kaiba brothers escape. One of the ninjas then throw in "Dragon Capture Jar" again to capture Kaiba's second "Blue-Eyes". This time Kaiba is ready for this card's arrival as he then uses "Trap Master" to destroy the "Dragon Capture Jar" and free the Blue-Eyes that was captured.
  • In episode 108, this card appears in a flashback explained by Leichter when he reminds Seto that his birthday gift from Gozaburo Kaiba was where all the mistakes made by Seto himself began.
  • In episode 149, this card appears in a flashback Kaiba has when Pegasus reminds Kaiba of him losing their previous Duel and losing his soul as a result of being defeated.
