Yu-Gi-Oh!

• The anime version of this card was not a Continuous Spell Card but a Field Spell Card, though its effect could be used multiple times during the turn in which it was activated. Also, in the anime version, this card supposedly drains the very souls of the card holder's monsters, creating a form of energy known as Ectoplasm, which is fired directly at the card holder's opponent.

• In episode 61, Arkana plays this card in his Duel against Yami Yugi. He uses this card to Tribute "Doll of Demise" and inflict damage to Yami Yugi equal to half the ATK of "Doll of Demise". Arkana then uses this card's effect to Tribute his "Dark Magician" and inflict half its ATK as damage to Yami Yugi, but since Yugi had a "Dark Magician" on his side of the field, an additional anime effect then activates, sending both "Dark Magicians" to the Graveyard and nullifying all effect damage that Yami Yugi would have taken.

• In episode 79, Yami Bakura plays this card in his Duel against Bonz. He then uses this card's effect to Tribute "The Earl of Demise" and inflict damage to Bonz equal to half the ATK of "The Earl of Demise", wining Yami Bakura the Duel. After he won, Yami Bakura took Bonz's five Locator Cards as per the Battle City Rules.

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

• In this series, the card uses its TCG/OCG effect.

• In episode 14, Jinzo plays this card in his Duel against Jaden Yuki. Once Jinzo ended his turn, this card's effect activated, forcing Jinzo to Tribute "Malice Doll of Demise" and inflict half of its ATK as damage to Jaden. This card's effect activated again once Jaden ended his turn, forcing him to Tribute his "Elemental HERO Avian" to inflict half of its ATK as damage to Jinzo. This card's effect activated a third time once Jinzo ended his second turn, forcing him to Tribute "Malice Doll of Demise" to inflict half of its ATK as damage to Jaden. Jaden then summoned his "Elemental HERO Clayman" and then equipped it with "Clay Wrap". He then used "Polymerization" to fuse "Clayman" with "Elemental HERO Burstinatrix" to create "Elemental HERO Rampart Blaster". Because "Clay Wrap" was sent the Graveyard, Jaden can use its effect to destroy a Spell or Trap on the field. He then chooses to use "Clay Wrap"'s effect to destroy this card.

• In episode 29, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Jaden has when he remembers his previous experiences with actual Shadow Games.
