Pre-World Duel Carnival

  • In episode 1, Yuma Tsukumo uses this card during his Duel against Shark. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma equips this card with "Wonder Wand", increasing its ATK by 500. This card then attacks Shark's "Big Jaws", but Shark activates "Zeus' Breath" to negate the attack and inflict 800 damage to Yuma. After Shark Normal Summons "Skull Kraken", he activates the latter's effect to destroy "Wonder Wand", decreasing this card's ATK to its original value. After Shark activates the effect of "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon" to increase its ATK by 500, "Leviathan Dragon" attacks and destroys this card. In the next episode, Yuma activates "Monster Reborn" to revive this card. He then overlays this card with "Ganbara Knight" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia". On the last turn of the Duel, "Utopia" attacks "Leviathan Dragon" and Yuma detaches this card from "Utopia" in order to activate its effect.

After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma uses this card to attack Mr. Kay's set monster, which is flipped face-up and revealed to be "Crashbug X", causing the attack to fail. Later "Gogogo Golem" (who Mr. Kay took control of via the effect of "Number 34: Terror-Byte") attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 5, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Flip Turner. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma uses this card to attack and destroy Flip's set "Porcupine Fish". The latter's Flip Effect then inflicts 500 damage to Yuma. On Yuma's next turn, this card attacks directly. In the next episode, Yuma activates this card's effect to change its Level to 3. Yuma then overlays this card with "Rai Rider" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon".
  • In episode 7, this card is shown in Yuma's hand during his Duel against Nelson Andrews. In the next episode, Yuma Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. After Yuma Special Summons "Kagetokage" via its own effect, Yuma overlays this card with "Kagetokage" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".

  • In episode 10, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma activates "Monster Reborn" to revive "Gogogo Golem". Yuma then overlays this card and "Gogogo Golem" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".
    • This card is also seen when Caswell Francis checks Yuma's Deck for his "Number" monsters (which were not present at the time due to Astral not being around at the time).

  • In episode 14, Yuma uses this card against Kite Tenjo. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma activates "Monster Slots" to target this card and banish "Gogogo Golem" in order to draw a card. Yuma draws "Ganbara Knight", so the latter is Special Summoned. Yuma then overlays this card and "Ganbara Knight" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia". After "Utopia" is banished by the effect of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", this card and "Ganbara Knight" are sent to the Graveyard.
    • This card also appears in Yuma's Deck as part of the effect of "Monster Slots".
  • In episode 15, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Kaze. He Normal Summons this card on the first turn. Later "Blade Armor Ninja" attacks this card, but Yuma activates "Gagagashield" to equip the latter to this card and prevent it from being destroyed by battle, however he still takes damage. Kaze then activates the effect of "Blade Armor Ninja" to allow it to attack again. "Blade Armor Ninja" then attacks this card again, but "Gagagashield" prevents this card's destruction, however Yuma still takes damage. "Gagagashield" is then destroyed by its last effect as its first effect was used twice. In the next episode, "Blade Armor Ninja" attacks and destroys this card. Kaze then activates the effect of "Blade Armor Ninja" to allow it to attack again. After "Blade Armor Ninja" attacks and destroys "Dododo Warrior", Yuma activates "Gagagaback" to revive this card and "Dododo Warrior", but taking 600 damage for each monster revived this way. Due to the effect of "Armor Ninjitsu Art of Rust Mist", the ATK of "Dododo Warrior" and this card are halved. After Yuma activates "Gagagabolt" to destroy Kaze's "Blade Armor Ninja", this card attacks directly. After "Armor Ninjitsu Art of Rust Mist" is destroyed by the effect of "Armor Ninjitsu Art of Alchemy", the ATK of this card and "Dododo Warrior" return to their original values. After Kaze Xyz Summons "Number 12: Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja", the latter attacks this card, but Yuma activates "Guts Guard" to change the attack target to "Dododo Warrior" and prevent it from being destroyed in battle this turn. Later Yuma overlays this card and "Dododo Warrior" (who was Level 4 by the effect of "Decrease") in order to "Number 39: Utopia".
  • In episode 17, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Fortuno. When "Gogogo Golem" attacks one of Fortuno's "Shamans", Fortuno activates "Dance of the Guardian" to target this card in Yuma's hand and reveal it (Fortuno knew what cards were in Yuma's hand thanks to a camera inside a nearby "Kite Tenjo" statue that fed information into his Duel Gazer). As this card was a monster, it is sent to the Graveyard, the attack made by "Gogogo Golem" is negated, and Fortuno draws a card.
  • In episode 19, this card can be seen on Yuma's desk whilst he is looking at Emperor's Key and thinks about his parents.
    • This card is also shown as part of Yuma's backstory to Astral when he explains to Astral that his dad believed he could become a champion one day and giving up halfway is like betraying his father and his teachings. Kazuma Tsukumo uses this card during his Duel against Yuma in this flashback.
  • In episode 21, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Lillybot while the latter was under a crook's control. He Normal Summons this card on the first turn. Later "Recycle Rhinobot" attacks this card, but Yuma activates "Half Unbreak" to prevent this card's destruction this turn and halve all Battle Damage he takes from battles involving this card this turn. Later Yuma activates this card's effect to change its Level to 8. He then activates "Gagaga Thunder" to target this card and "Gagaga Girl" and inflict damage to Lillybot equal to the difference in Levels between the targeted monsters times 300. On Yuma's End Phase, this card's effect expires. Later "Junk Robot Teapot Kangaroo" (whose ATK was 2300 through the effect of "Recycle Rhinobot" three times) attacks this card, but this card is not destroyed due to the effect of "Gagagaguard", though Yuma still takes damage. On the last turn of the Duel, Yuma activates "Star Light, Star Bright" to target this card and "Gagaga Girl" and make the Level of "Gagaga Girl" the same as this card. Yuma then overlays this card and "Gagaga Girl" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".
  • In episode 22, this card appears in a flashback Kite has when he is reminded of Yuma due to Orbital 7 mentioning the pendant he was wearing not being from Earth.
  • In episode 25, this card appears in a flashback Kite has after he arrives at the Duel Square and wonders if the memories he's scanning here are Astral's memories.

World Duel Carnival Preliminaries

  • In episode 27, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Striker Crossit. He Normal Summons this card in Attack Position. This card then attacks and destroys Striker's "Wing Captain", but Striker activates "Offside Trap" to revive "Wing Captain", nullify the Battle Damage he would take, and end Yuma's turn. Later "Top Scorer" attacks and destroys this card.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yuma has when he states if Striker activates "Offside Trap" again, an attack against Striker's monster will not destroy it or inflict damage and Yuma's turn will end immediately.
  • In episode 28, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Cody Callus. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma activates "Bound Wand" to equip it to this card and increase its ATK by 400 (the increase is equal to this card's Level times 100). Yuma then activates this card's effect to make it Level 8, which made the effect of "Bound Wand" increase this card's ATK by 800 instead of 400. This card then attacks "Jumbo Drill" (whose ATK was 2100 through its own effect), but Cody activates "Foreman's Fury" to target "Jumbo Drill" and decrease this card's ATK by 1000. "Jumbo Drill" then destroys this card. At the end of the Battle Phase, Yuma activates the second effect of "Bound Wand" to revive this card. Later "Strong Shovel Excavator" attacks this card, but Yuma activates "Half Unbreak" to target this card in order to prevent this card from being destroyed by battle this turn and halve all Battle Damage he takes from battles involving this card. "Jumbo Drill" (whose ATK was 2400 through its own effect) then attacks this card, but while this card was not destroyed, "Jumbo Drill" inflicts piercing damage to Yuma and the damage is halved by "Half Unbreak". Later Yuma switches this card to Attack Position. He then Normal Summons "Mystical Donator" and activates its effect to increase this card's ATK by 800 by making the ATK of "Mystical Donator" 0. This card then attacks and destroys "Strong Shovel Excavator". On Yuma's End Phase, the effect of "Mystical Donator" expires, returning the ATK of this card and "Mystical Donator" to their original value. After Cody sends the top three cards of Yuma's Deck to the Graveyard via the effect of "Digvorzhak, King of Heavy Industry", he activates the second part of the effect of "Digvorzhak" to destroy this card and "Mystical Donator" as two monsters were sent from Yuma's Deck to the Graveyard via the effect of "Digvorzhak".
  • In episode 30, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Tombo Tillbitty. After Yuma Normal Summons this card, he activates this card's effect to change its Level to 3. He then overlays this card and "Gagaga Girl" in order to Xyz Summon "Melomelody the Brass Djinn". After "Melomelody" attacks "Tomato King" twice (due to Yuma using the effect of "Melomelody") and both attacks fail to destroy "Tomato King" in battle due to "Transaction Summon", Yuma activates the effect of "Melomelody" a second time by detaching this card.
  • In episode 32, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Charlie McCay. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma activates "Monster Slots" to target this card and banish "Gogogo Golem" in order to draw a card. Yuma draws "Gagaga Girl" and because this card and "Gagaga Girl" are different Levels, this card and "Gagaga Girl" are banished by the effect of "Monster Slots".
  • In episode 44, Yuma uses this card during his duel against Roku. It was summoned at an unspecified point. When "Gagaga Girl" attacks Roku's set monster, Roku activates "Mirror Force" to destroy all of Yuma's monsters.
  • In episode 46, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. "Big Jaws" attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 47, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Trey. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma equips this card with "Bound Wand", increasing this card's ATK by 400 (as this card is Level 4). Yuma then activates this card's effect to change its Level to 8, causing "Bound Wand" to increase this card's ATK by 800 instead of 400. This card then attacks "Chronomaly Cabrera Catapult", but Trey activates "Stone Bola" to negate the attack and forbid this card from attacking during Yuma's next Battle Phase. On Yuma's End Phase, this card's effect expires, returning it to Level 4 and lowering the ATK boost given by "Bound Wand" to 400. Later Trey activates the effect of "Chronomaly Cabrera Catapult" to decrease the ATK of this card's ATK to 0, but Yuma activates "Gagagarush" to negate the effect of "Chronomaly Cabrera Catapult" and destroy it as well as inflict damage to Trey equal to the DEF of "Chronomaly Cabrera Catapult" (as it was higher than its ATK). After Trey uses his crest to remove Yuma's memories of his father's teachings in order to make him scared and helpless, "Number 33: Chronomaly Machu Mech" attacks and destroys this card. In the next episode, Yuma (whose memories and personality were now restored) revives this card via "Gagagarevenge". After Yuma activates the effect of "Flelf" to increase its Level by the Level of "Overlay Eater", he overlays this card and "Flelf" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia". As "Gagagarevenge" was sent to the Graveyard because this card was used for an Xyz Summon, "Utopia" gains 300 ATK.

World Duel Carnival Finals

  • In episode 59, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Nistro. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma takes 200 damage due to "Desert Field". Yuma then equips this card with "One-Shot Wand", increasing its ATK by 800. This card then attacks "Heroic Champion - Gandiva" and Yuma takes 200 damage due to "Desert Field". Nistro then activates "Heroic Advance" to change the attack target to "Heroic Challenger - Night Watchman" and double the latter's ATK during the Battle Phase. While neither monster is destroyed due to the last effect of "Heroic Advance", Yuma still takes damage. Yuma then activates the second effect of "One-Shot Wand" to destroy it and draw one card (returning this card's ATK to its original value). Afte Yuma Special Summons "Grandram" via its own effect. Yuma overlays this card and "Grandram" in order to Xyz Summon "Gagaga Cowboy".
  • In episode 62, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma overlays this card and "Gogogo Golem" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".

In the next episode, Yuma banishes this card, "Gagaga Caesar", and "Gagaga Clerk" from his Graveyard in order to pay the cost of "Gagagadraw".

Barian Invasion

  • In episode 76, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Devon Knox while the latter was possessed by the Barians. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma activates "Gagaga x Gagaga" to target this card and Special Summon "Gagaga x Gagaga" with this card's stats. Yuma then overlays this card and "Gagaga x Gagaga" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia". This card and "Gagaga x Gagaga" were then attached to "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray" when Yuma overlays "Utopia" with its two Overlay Units via Chaos Xyz Evolution. Yuma then detaches all Overlay Units from "Utopia Ray" in order to activate its effect.
  • In episode 77, Yuma uses this card during his duel against Carlyle Chesterton while the latter was possessed by the Barians. Right after he Normal Summons this card, Caswell Francis "suspends" this card for violating the dress code of Heartland Academy due to the special circumstances of the duel. On the last turn of the Duel (which at this point, Caswell ceased being the referee and declared the Duel to be a normal Duel), Yuma Normal Summons this card again. After Yuma Special Summons "Gagaga Girl" with its Level increased by one via "Gagagawind", Yuma overlays this card and "Gagaga Girl" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".
    • This monster is also seen in a comical scene, where he stands at the front gates of the school after being suspended. After "Gagaga Girl" is suspended as well, she runs crying to him. This entire sequence is cut from the dub.
  • In episode 80, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Alito. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma activates "Blustering Winds" to increase this card's ATK by 1000. This card attacks "Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke", but Alito activates the first effect of "Lead Yoke" to prevent its destruction and increase its ATK by 800 after damage calculation. Later "Lead Yoke" attacks and destroys this card. Due to the effect of "Mano a Mano", the battle damage Yuma takes is increased by 1000. Later Yuma activates "Monster Reborn" to revive this card. Yuma then activates this card's effect to change its Level to 6. Yuma then overlays this card and "Dododo Warrior" in order to Xyz Summon "Gauntlet Launcher".
  • In episode 81, Yuma uses this card during his Tag Duel with Girag against Cathy and Tori Meadows while the latter were possessed by the Barians. He activates "Level Lifter" to send this card from his hand to the Graveyard and make the Level of "Gagaga Girl" the same Level as this card's. Yuma then activates "Monster Reborn" to revive this card. He then overlays this card and "Gagaga Girl" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".

On the last turn of the Duel, Yuma revives this card via the Flip Effect of "Magical Undertaker". After Yuma Special Summons "Caligo Claw Crow" via its own effect, he activates this card's effect to change its Level to 2. Yuma then overlays this card, "Magical Undertaker", and "Caligo Claw Crow" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 96: Dark Mist".

In the next episode, this card attacks and destroys Mach's set "Secret Sect Druid Wid". Mach then activates the effect of "Secret Sect Druid Wid" to activate "Labyrinth of Decisions" from his hand. At the end of the Battle Phase, Yuma overlays this card and "Gagaga Child" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia". After Yuma Xyz Summons "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray Victory" via "Rank-Up-Magic Numeron Force", this card and "Gagaga Child" are attached to "Utopia Ray Victory".
    • In the second above-mentioned episode, this card appears in a flashback Astral has when he ponders over the trial for the "Mythyrian Number" and Mach's riddle.

After Yuma activates the effect of "Gagaga Child" to make its Level the same as this card's, Yuma overlays this card and "Gagaga Child" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia". After "Utopia" is destroyed by the effect of Alito's "Chaos Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus", this card is sent to the Graveyard. Later Alito activates the effect of "Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk" to banish all monsters from Yuma's Graveyard.
  • In episode 138, Yuma uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Nash against Don Thousand. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma overlays this card and "Toy Knight" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia". After the latter is destroyed due to "Numeron Xyz Revision", this card and "Toy Knight" are sent to the Graveyard.   • In "Aim For Number 1 in the World!," Yuma uses this card against Astral. He Normal Summons this card. The same turn, he equips this card with "Wonder Wand", increasing this card's ATK by 500 to 2000. Next, this card attacks and destroys Astral's "Gogogo Golem".
    • Yuma also uses this card against Taiki. He Normal Summons this card on his first turn. The same turn, this card attacks Taiki's set "Muscle Gardna". Next, this card's presence on the field adds 200 damage to Yuma when Taiki activates "Secret Barrel".   • In Rank 5, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Tokunosuke. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma uses this card to attack and destroy Tokunosuke's set "Tubone". The latter's Flip Effect then activates, Special Summoning three "Tubone Jr." to Yuma's side of the field. In the next chapter, "Utopia" (who Tokunosuke Special Summoned to his side of the field via "Ultra C") attacks and destroys this card. Later Yuma activates "Monster Reborn" to revive this card. After Yuma activates this card's effect to change its Level to 3, Yuma overlays this card with "Rai Rider" in order to Xyz Summon "Leviathan Dragon".
  • In Rank 12, Yuma Tsukumo uses this card against Captain Corn. After he Normal Summons this card, Yuma Special Summons "Kagetokage" via its own effect. Yuma then overlays this card and "Kagetokage" in order to Xyz Summon "No. 39: Utopia".
