- In the anime, "Granadora" is called "Swallowtail Spike Lizard". Instead of its TCG effect it had a different one: as long as it remained on the field face-up in Defense Position, its controller received 1000 Life Points during each of her/his Standby Phases, basically the same effect as "Dancing Fairy." In addition, when this card is seen in Marik's hand during episode 141, it has a far more colorful artwork and is a DARK-monster.
- In episode 140, this card is shown in Yami Marik's hand during his Duel against Yami Yugi. In the next episode, Yami Marik summons this card in Defense Position. On Yami Marik's next Standby Phase, this card's effect activates, increasing Yami Marik's Life Points by 1000. Later Marik Tributes this card and "Bowganian" in order to transfer their ATK and DEF to "The Winged Dragon of Ra".

- In episode 83, an unknown duelist uses this card during his Duel against Zane Truesdale. This card, "Vorse Raider", "Swordstalker", "Whiptail Crow", and "Morinphen" are then destroyed through unknown means.
