Pre-World Duel Carnival

  • In episode 2, Yuma Tsukumo uses this card during his Duel against Shark. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Ganbara Knight" and "Gagaga Magician". This card then attacks and destroys "Drill Barnacle" (whose ATK was 1300 due to its own effect). Later "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon" attacks this card, but Yuma activates this card's effect to negate the attack by detaching "Ganbara Knight". "Jawsman" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates his face-down "Bye Bye Damage", to prevent this card's destruction and make Shark take twice the Battle Damage he takes. On the last turn, this card attacks "Leviathan Dragon". Yuma then activates this card's effect to negate the attack by detaching "Gagaga Magician". Yuma then activates "Double or Nothing!" to double this card's ATK and let it attack again. This card then attacks and destroys "Leviathan Dragon", winning Yuma the Duel.
  • In episode 3, Yuma checks his Extra Deck during his Duel against Mr. Kay and finds this card and "Leviathan Dragon" inside, much to his relief (Yuma is surprised to see "Leviathan Dragon" inside his Extra Deck). Yuma wonders if Astral took those Numbers with him when he briefly disappeared. Astral explains that Yuma has access to the "Numbers" that he had absorbed.
  • In episode 4, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Mr. Kay. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Ganbara Knight" and "Goblindbergh". Later "Achacha Archer" (who Mr. Kay took control of via the effect of "Number 34: Terror-Byte") attacks directly via "Infected Mail", but Yuma activates this card's effect to negate the attack by detaching "Ganbara Knight". After Mr. Kay Special Summons "Super Crashbug" via "Bug Switch", the ATK and DEF of all monsters on the field are switched. "Terror-Byte" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates this card's effect to negate the attack by detaching "Goblindbergh". After Yuma activates "Overconfidence" to destroy "Super Crashbug", the ATK and DEF of all monsters on the field return to their original values. After "Leviathan Dragon" attacks and destroys "Terror-Byte", this card attacks directly and wins Yuma the Duel.
    • This card also appears in Astral's explanation when he explains if Yuma had listened to him, he would have been able to Xyz Summon "Utopia". Yuma, upon realizing the mistake he made and what could have happened, quickly justifies that he already knew that.
  • In episode 5, Flip Turner uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Special Summons this card from Yuma's Extra Deck to his side of the field via effect of "Ultra C". He also secretly left a note saying to Yuma, he will be taking this card if he wins. In the next episode, this card attacks and destroys Yuma's "Flelf". On Flip's next turn, this card attacks "Baby Tiragon", but due to the effect of "Half Unbreak", "Baby Tiragon" isn't destroyed and the damage Yuma takes is halved. After Yuma activates the effect of "Stinging Swordsman" to return "Ultra C" and "Traitor Fog" (which Flip used on "Leviathan Dragon") to Flip's hand, the second-to-last effects of both this card and "Traitor Fog" give control of this card and "Leviathan Dragon" to Yuma. After "Leviathan Dragon" attacks and destroys "Flipangutan", this card attacks directly and wins Yuma the Duel.
  • In episode 8, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Nelson Andrews. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Gagaga Magician" and "Kagetokage". This card then attacks "Beast-Warrior Puma", but Nelson activates "Wings of Unity" to negate the attack and Special Summon "Phoenix Beast Gairuda". Later "Gairuda" attacks this card. The effect of "Gairuda" then activates, increasing its ATK by 300 during damage calculation only, but Yuma activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and negate the attack. "Epser Star Sparrow" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and negate the attack. On Nelson's next turn, "Dimensional Jet Iron" (whose ATK was 8000 due to its own effect) attacks this card, but Yuma activates "Fiery Fervor" to double this card's ATK. After Yuma activates "Reserve Cyclone" to destroy "Furious Max's Curse", he activates "Vector Change" to switch "Dimensional Jet Iron" to Defense Position and "Number 83: Galaxy Queen" to Attack Position. On the last turn of the Duel, this card attacks "Galaxy Queen", but Nelson activates "Star Sparrow Forever" to revive "Esper Star Sparrow" with 0 ATK and redirect the attack to "Esper Star Sparrow" (Nelson purposely activated "Star Sparrow" as he wanted to protect what he believed was his mother). This card then destroys "Esper Star Sparrow" and wins Yuma the Duel.
  • In episode 9, this card appears in a flashback to episode 6.
  • In episode 10, Yuma plays this card against Shark. He overlays "Gogogo Golem" and "Gagaga Magician" to Xyz Summon it. It attacks "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark", but Shark banishes the "Friller Rabca" in his Graveyard to negate the attack and reduce the ATK of this card by 500. Shark negates all of its effects with the effect of "Black Ray Lancer", allowing that card to attack and destroy it, winning him the Duel.
  • In episode 12, Yuma plays this card while teaming with Shark against Scorch and Chills. He overlays "Goblindbergh" and "Gagaga Magician" to Xyz Summon it. Chills activates "Avalanche", preventing "Utopia" from attacking and inflicting 500 damage to him each time "Utopia" uses an effect. When Chills attacks with both "Pompadour Blizzardon" and "Icebergdon", Yuma activates the effect of this card twice, detaching both Overlay Units to negate the attacks and save Shark at the expense of 1000 of his own Life Points. This card is destroyed by the effect of Scorch's "Number 61: Volcasaurus", with Yuma halving the damage with "Damage Diet". Yuma uses the effect of "Armored Xyz" to equip this card from his Graveyard to Shark's "Black Ray Lancer". This lets "Black Ray Lancer" destroy "Volcasaurus".
  • In episode 14, Yuma plays this card against Kite Tenjo. He overlays "Gagaga Magician" and "Ganbara Knight" to Xyz Summon it. He increases its ATK with "Blustering Winds" and attacks "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", but Kite uses that card's effect to banish both monsters, with this card losing its Overlay Units as as result. "Galaxy-Eyes" attacks this card, which is not destroyed as the attacker was not a "Number" monster. Yuma later plays "Cross Attack", letting this card attack directly by preventing "Leviathan Dragon" from attacking. Kite negates the attack with "Lumenize" and increases the ATK of "Galaxy-Eyes" by that of this card.
  • In episode 16, Yuma plays this card against Kaze. He overlays "Gagaga Magician" and "Dododo Warrior" to Xyz Summon it after using the effect of "Dododo Warrior" to change its Level to 4. It attacks "Number 12: Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja", but Kaze uses its effect to detach an Overlay Unit and prevent his monster's destruction by battle. Yuma plays "Revenge Attack", letting this card attack again with an ATK increase of 1000, winning the Duel.
  • In episode 17, this card appears in a flashback to episode 6.
  • In episode 20, Yuma plays this card against Number 96's holder. It attacks and destroys "Number 96: Dark Mist", winning the Duel. Later in the same episode, Yuma gives this card to Bronk Stone, who uses it against Number 96 , who manipulates Yuma as his puppet. Bronk overlays "Aye-Iron" and "Tin Goldfish" to Xyz Summon it. He removes a Gearspring Counter from "Gearspring Catapult" to increase its ATK by 500. It attacks "Dark Mist", but Number 96 detaches an Overlay Unit to halve the ATK of this card and add it to the ATK of "Dark Mist". Bronk detaches an Overlay Unit to negate his own attack, with Number 96 activating his face-down "Counterforce", inflicting damage to Bronk equal to the difference between the ATK of the two monsters. Number 96 attacks this card with "Dark Mist", detaching an Overlay Unit to halve its ATK again and add it to that of "Dark Mist". Bronk detaches an Overlay Unit to negate the attack, but Number 96 activates his face-down "Overlay Banish" negating the effect. Thus, this card is destroyed. Bronk reduces the ATK of "Dark Mist" to 0 with "Gearspring Spirit" and uses "Monster Reborn" to revive this card, who attacks and destroys "Dark Mist".
  • In episode 21, Yuma plays this card against Lillybot. He overlays "Gagaga Magician" and "Gagaga Girl" to Xyz Summon it after changing the Level of "Girl" to 4 via its own effect. The effect of "Girl" reduces the ATK of "Recycle Rhinobot" to 0, letting this card attack and destroy it.
  • In episode 24, Astral plays this card against Kite. He overlays "Gogogo Golem" and "Kagetokage" to Xyz Summon it. It attacks and destroys "Photon Leo". This card is then attacked by "Galaxy-Eyes", with that card's effect banishing both monsters, removing this card's Overlay Units. After it returns, Kite attempts to destroy this card with "Galaxy Storm", but Astral counters with "Xyz Reflect", negating the effect and inflicting 800 damage to Kite. Astral then performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution to bring out "Utopia Ray".

  • In episode 68, this card is amongst the "Numbers" floating through the Sphere Field. Astral manages to give the card to Yuma before ejecting him from the Field.
  • In episode 69, Yuma plays this card while teaming with Shark and Kite against Dr. Faker. He overlays "Goblindbergh" and "Gagaga Magician" to Xyz Summon it. It attacks "Number 53: Heart-eartH", but Faker uses that card's effect to have it gain ATK equal to this card's. Yuma detaches an Overlay Unit to negate this own attack, then plays "Double or Nothing!" to double this card's ATK. Fake sends the "Garbage Ogre" equipped to "Heart-eartH" to the Graveyard to prevent its destruction by battle and the card's other effect inflicts damage to his opponent equal to half the difference in the previous and current ATK of "Heart-eartH". Shark equips this card with "Shield Fin". This card reduces the ATK of "Utopia" to 0 and prevents its destruction by battle, thus allowing it to attack "Heart-eartH" and result in their team taking only 100 damage. Kite uses the same tactic with this card during his his turn. In the next episode, "Number 92: Heart-eartH Dragon" attacks and Shark uses "Escape Lure" to change the target to this card and halve the battle damage, prompting Yuma to use "Half Unbreak" to halve the damage again. During his turn, Yuma performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution on this card to bring out "Utopia Ray".
  • In episode 73, Yuma plays this card against Kite. He overlays "Goblindbergh" and "Gagaga Magician" to Xyz Summon it. This card attacks "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", with Yuma detaching an Overlay Unit to negate his own attack. This lets him use "Flash Effect" to increase this card's ATK by 800 and negate the effect of all Effect Monsters, letting this card destroy "Galaxy-Eyes". Kite uses "Battle Simulation" to halve the ATKs of both monsters and prevent the destruction by battle. Yuma responds with "Double Bind", doubling his monster's ATK and negating effects that prevent destruction by battle. Therefore, this card destroys "Galaxy-Eyes". In the next episode, Kite reduces the ATK of this card to 0 with the effect of "Starliege Paladynamo" and then uses that card to attack and destroy it. Yuma Special Summons this card with "Xyz Revival", then performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution to bring out "Utopia Ray". Later, he revives both of those monsters with "Xyz Double Back", but they are destroyed by "Galaxy-Eyes" and "Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" when Kite activates his own "Xyz Double Back", winning Kite the Duel.

He equips it with "Overlay Chain", preventing its Overlay Units from being affected by card effects. In the next episode, this card is attacked by "Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon", with Yuma detaching an Overlay Unit to negate the attack. Mizar uses the effect of "Tachyon Dragon", detaching an Overlay Unit to negate the effect and increase the ATK of "Tachyon Dragon" by 1000 and letting it attack again. It attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 84, this card appears in a flashback to episode 83.
  • In episode 85, Yuma plays this card against Alito. He overlays "Gagaga Magician" and "Gagaga Child" to Xyz Summon it after changing the Level of "Child" to 4 via its own effect. Alito negates this card's effects with "Overlay Flash", powering up "Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke" in the process. "Lead Yoke" attacks this card, with Yuma using "Battle Rush" in an attempt to inflict the battle damage to Alito instead. Alito counters with "Fancy Footwork", negating the activation of a Trap Card in the Battle Phase. Yuma in turn counters with "Xyz Strike", letting him draw and reveal a card. If he draws a Spell or Trap Card, the battle damage will double, but if its a monster, the ATKs of the battling monsters will swap. Alito activates "Counter Clash", negating "Xyz Strike" and doubling the battle damage, resulting in the destruction of this card. Yuma revives this card with 'Xyz Revenge", attaching the last Overlay Unit from "Lead Yoke" to it. The effect of "Lead Yoke" increases its own ATK, so Yuma is able to equip this card with "Fiery Fervor", doubling the ATK of this card and letting it attack and destroy "Lead Yoke". In the next episode, this card is attacked by "Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Star Cestus", with Yuma attempting to negate the attack by detaching an Overlay Unit. Alito uses the effect of "Star Cestus", detaching an Overlay Unit to prevent this, prevent the destruction of "Star Cestus" by battle and inflict the battle damage to Yuma instead. Yuma then performs a Chaos Xyz Evolution to bring out "Utopia Ray".

The effect of "Girl" reduces the ATK of "Number 66: Master Key Beetle" to 0. This card attacks "Master Key Beetle", but Vector uses the effect of that card to send "Magical Tomb" to the Graveyard and prevent the destruction of "Master Key Beetle" by battle, adding "Limited Barian's Force" to Yuma's hand in the process. This card is then attacked by two "Umbral Horror Mirage Tokens", with Yuma detaching to Overlay Units to negate the attacks. A third "Mirage Token" attacks, destroying itself, but letting Vector activates "Umbral Horror Retaliation" to destroy this card. Yuma Summons "V Salamander", Special Summoning this card with its effect. He then plays "Limited Barian's Force" to Rank-Up this card into "Utopia Ray V".
