Pre-World Duel Carnival

  • In episode 2, Yuma Tsukumo uses this card during his Duel against Shark. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Ganbara Knight" and "Gagaga Magician". This card then attacks and destroys "Drill Barnacle" (whose ATK was 1300 due to its own effect). Later "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon" attacks this card, but Yuma activates this card's effect to negate the attack by detaching "Ganbara Knight". "Jawsman" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates his face-down "Bye Bye Damage", to prevent this card's destruction and make Shark take twice the Battle Damage he takes. On the last turn, this card attacks "Leviathan Dragon". Yuma then activates this card's effect to negate the attack by detaching "Gagaga Magician". Yuma then activates "Double or Nothing!" to double this card's ATK and let it attack again. This card then attacks and destroys "Leviathan Dragon", winning Yuma the Duel.
  • In episode 3, Yuma checks his Extra Deck during his Duel against Mr. Kay and finds this card and "Leviathan Dragon" inside, much to his relief (Yuma is surprised to see "Leviathan Dragon" inside his Extra Deck). Yuma wonders if Astral took those Numbers with him when he briefly disappeared. Astral explains that Yuma has access to the "Numbers" that he had absorbed.
  • In episode 4, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Mr. Kay. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Ganbara Knight" and "Goblindbergh". Later "Achacha Archer" (who Mr. Kay took control of via the effect of "Number 34: Terror-Byte") attacks directly via "Infected Mail", but Yuma activates this card's effect to negate the attack by detaching "Ganbara Knight". After Mr. Kay Special Summons "Super Crashbug" via "Bug Switch", the ATK and DEF of all monsters on the field are switched. "Terror-Byte" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates this card's effect to negate the attack by detaching "Goblindbergh". After Yuma activates "Overconfidence" to destroy "Super Crashbug", the ATK and DEF of all monsters on the field return to their original values. After "Leviathan Dragon" attacks and destroys "Terror-Byte", this card attacks directly and wins Yuma the Duel.
    • This card also appears in Astral's explanation when he explains if Yuma had listened to him, he would have been able to Xyz Summon "Utopia". Yuma, upon realizing the mistake he made and what could have happened, quickly justifies that he already knew that.
  • In episode 5, Flip Turner uses this card during his Duel against Yuma. He Special Summons this card from Yuma's Extra Deck to his side of the field via the effect of "Ultra C". He also secretly left a note saying to Yuma, he will be taking this card if he wins. In the next episode, this card attacks and destroys Yuma's "Flelf". On Flip's next turn, this card attacks "Baby Tiragon", but due to the effect of "Half Unbreak", "Baby Tiragon" isn't destroyed and the damage Yuma takes is halved. After Yuma activates the effect of "Stinging Swordsman" to return "Ultra C" and "Traitor Fog" (which Flip used on "Leviathan Dragon") to Flip's hand, the second-to-last effects of both this card and "Traitor Fog" give control of this card and "Leviathan Dragon" to Yuma. After "Leviathan Dragon" attacks and destroys "Flipangutan", this card attacks directly and wins Yuma the Duel.
  • In episode 8, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Nelson Andrews. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Gagaga Magician" and "Kagetokage". This card then attacks "Beast-Warrior Puma", but Nelson activates "Wings of Unity" to negate the attack and Special Summon "Phoenix Beast Gairuda". Later "Gairuda" attacks this card. The effect of "Gairuda" then activates, increasing its ATK by 300 during damage calculation only, but Yuma activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and negate the attack. "Epser Star Sparrow" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and negate the attack. After the ATK of "Dimensional Jet Iron" becomes 8000 due to its own effect, Yuma activates "Fiery Fervor" to double this card's ATK. "Dimensional Jet Iron" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates "Reserve Cyclone" to destroy "Furious Max's Curse". He then activates "Vector Change" to switch "Dimensional Jet Iron" to Defense Position and "Number 83: Galaxy Queen" to Attack Position. On the last turn of the Duel, this card attacks "Galaxy Queen", but Nelson activates "Star Sparrow Forever" to revive "Esper Star Sparrow" with 0 ATK and redirect the attack to "Esper Star Sparrow" (Nelson purposely activated "Star Sparrow" as he wanted to protect what he believed was his mother). This card then destroys "Esper Star Sparrow" and wins Yuma the Duel.
  • In episode 9, this card appears in a series of flashbacks Bronk Stone has when he tells Tori Meadows that even though Yuma has never won against him at least once in the past, Yuma has recently been winning Duels against tougher opponents.
  • In episode 10, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Gogogo Golem" and "Gagaga Magician". This card attacks "Submersible Carrier Aero Shark", but Shark activates the second effect of "Friller Shark" to negate the attack and reduce this card's ATK by 500. Later Shark activates the effect of "Black Ray Lancer" to negate this card's effects. "Black Ray Lancer" then attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 11, Yuma shows this card to Scorch and Chills and declares to Scorch and Chills if they defeat him, this card is theirs to take. Scorch and Chills both note that this card is a "Number" like their respective cards, and so they accept to Duel him.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Bronk Stone has when he reminds Tori Meadows that Yuma promised the group he wouldn't use his "Numbers" against Shark, yet broke his promise with that.
  • In episode 12, Yuma uses this card during his Tag-Team Duel with Shark against Scorch and Chills. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Goblindbergh" and "Gagaga Magician". Chills then activates "Avalanche" to prevent this card from attacking and inflict 500 damage to him each time he uses this card's effect. Later "Pompadour Blizzardon" attacks Shark directly, but Yuma activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and negate the attack as well as take 500 damage from the effect of "Avalanche". "Icebergdon" then attacks Shark directly, but Yuma activates the effect of this card to detach an Overlay Unit and negate the attack as well as take 500 damage from the effect of "Avalanche". Later Scorch activates the effect of "Number 61: Volcasaurus" to destroy this card and inflict its ATK as damage to Yuma, but the damage is halved due to Yuma's "Damage Diet". On the last turn of the Duel, Yuma activates "Armored Xyz" (given to Shark via "Final Offering") to equip this card from his Graveyard to Shark's "Black Ray Lancer" (revived under Yuma's control via "Monster Reborn") and make the name and ATK of "Black Ray Lancer" the same as this card's. After "Black Ray Lancer" attacks and destroys "Volcasaurus", Yuma activates the second effect of "Armored Xyz" to send this card to the Graveyard and allow "Black Ray Lancer" to attack again.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Astral has when he realizes that Scorch and Chills cheating was also why Scorch purposely switched "Pomadour Blizzardon" to Defense Position so that Chills could use "Frozen Ice Cave" to raise his monster's Level for an Xyz Summon.
    • This card also appears in a flashback Yuma has when he tells Scorch and Chills, who taunted Shark for fear of losing, that he is afraid of losing and thinking about it engulfs him in it, which was why he used the "Numbers" despite promising not to.
  • In episode 14, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Kite Tenjo. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Gagaga Magician" and "Ganbara Knight". Yuma then activates "Blustering Winds" to increase this card's ATK and DEF by 1000. This card then attacks "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon", but Kite activates the effect of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to banish both cards and send this card's Overlay Units to the Graveyard. At the end of the Battle Phase, both this card and "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" are Special Summoned from the Banished Zone and "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" gains 1000 ATK (500 for each Overlay Unit this card had that was sent to the Graveyard through its effect). Later "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" attacks this card, but this card is not destroyed as "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" was not a "Number" monster, however Yuma still takes Battle Damage. Kite then activates "Photon Wind" to inflict 1000 damage to Yuma since "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" inflicted Battle Damage, but failed to destroy this card in battle. Later Yuma activates "Cross Attack" to target both this card and "Number 17: Leviathan Dragon" (whose ATK was 2500 through its own effect) in order to let this card attack directly. This card then attacks directly, but Kite activates "Lumenize" to negate the attack and increase the ATK of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" by this card's ATK. After Kite prevents Yuma from activating his set "Mirror Mail" through the effect of "Photon Cerberus", he prepares to use "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to attack this card, but Orbital 7 reveals to Kite his brother had collapsed, so Kite calls the Duel off so he could attend to his brother. Despite not losing the Duel, Yuma and Astral's spirits were broken as they were completely outmatched by Kite and almost lost everything.
    • This card also appear in Astral's explanation on "Mirror Mail" and the strategy he had in mind for it. Yuma realizes that once "Mirror Mail" makes this card's ATK the same as the ATK of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" when it attacks, only "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" would be destroyed as "Numbers" can only be destroyed by "Numbers".
  • In episode 16, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Kaze. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Gagaga Magician" and "Dododo Warrior" (who was Level 4 via "Decrease"). This card then attacks "Number 12: Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja", but Kaze activates the latter's effect to prevent his monster's destruction though he still took damage. Yuma then activates "Revenge Attack" to let this card attack again and increase its ATK by 1000. This card then attacks and destroys "Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja", winning Yuma the Duel.

Later Fortuno activates the effect of "Number 11: Big Eye" to take control of this card. This card attacks and destroys "Kurivolt". On Fortuno's next turn, this card attacks directly, but Yuma activates "Xyz Weight" to reduce this card's ATK by 1600 (800 for each Overlay Unit this card had), which lessened the damage. On Fortuno's End Phase, the effect of "Xyz Weight" expires. Later Yuma activates "Comeback" to regain control of this card. He then overlays this card with its Overlay Units via Chaos Xyz Evolution in order to Xyz Summon "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray".
    • This card also appears in a series of flashbacks Astral has when he realizes the feelings he felt was not just fear, but the precious feelings Yuma gave him.
  • In episode 20, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Number 96's holder. This card attacks and destroys "Number 96: Dark Mist", winning Yuma the Duel (the "Number" holder did not activate the effect of "Dark Mist" as Number 96 wanted to be absorbed in order to possess Astral and gain all the "Numbers" in Astral's possession). Later, Yuma gives this card to Bronk Stone as per Astral's request before Number 96 fully possesses his body. Number 96 fails to get this card from Bronk due to the Emperor's Key and thus Bronk challenges Number 96 to a Duel with the winner getting this card. He accepts under the condition he uses Yuma's cards for the Duel.
  • In episode 20, Bronk uses this card during his Duel against Number 96 while the latter is using Yuma's Deck. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Aye-Iron" and "Tin Goldfish". Bronk then removes a Gearspring Counter from "Gearspring Catapult" in order to increase its ATK by 500. This card attacks "Dark Mist", but Number 96 activates the effect of "Dark Mist" to halve this card's ATK and add it to the ATK of "Dark Mist". Bronk then activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and negate the attack. Number 96 then activates "Counterforce" to inflict damage to Bronk equal to the difference between the ATK of this card and "Dark Mist". On Bronk's End Phase, the effect of "Gearspring Catapult" expires. Later "Dark Mist" attacks this card and Number 96 activates the effect of "Dark Mist" to halve this card's ATK and add it to the ATK of "Dark Mist". Bronk activates this card's effect to detach an Overlay Unit and negate the attack, but Number 96 activates "Overlay Banish" to negate this card's effect. "Dark Mist" then destroys this card. Number 96 then activates "Xyz Cyclone" to destroy Bronk's set "Gearspring Exploder" as this card was destroyed by battle (He was going to destroy "Gearspring Catapult", but Yuma, pretending to be possessed by Number 96's power, claimed Bronk was going to use "Gearspring Exploder" to win the Duel once it's his turn). On the last turn of the Duel, Bronk revives this card via "Monster Reborn". He then activates the effect of "Gearspring Catapult" to increase this card's ATK by 500. This card then attacks and destroys "Dark Mist" (who had 0 ATK due to Bronk using the effect of "Gearspring Spirit" earlier), winning Bronk the Duel. After the Duel, Bronk returns this card to Yuma.
  • In episode 21, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Lillybot while the latter was under a crook's control. • In episode 24, Astral uses this card during his Duel against Kite. He Xyz Summons this card by overlaying "Gogogo Golem" and "Kagetokage". This card attacks and destroys "Photon Leo" (who was equipped with "Photon Spear"), but Kite activates "Armored Back" to revive "Photon Leo" and re-equip it with "Photon Spear". Later "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" attacks this card. Kite then activates the effect of "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to banish both cards and send this card's Overlay Units to the Graveyard. Kite then activates "Galaxy Storm" to destroy this card since it had no Overlay Units, but Astral activates "Xyz Reflect" to negate the effect of "Galaxy Storm" and inflict 800 damage to Kite. Later Astral overlays this card with itself via Chaos Xyz Evolution in order to Xyz Summon "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray".

Mizar then activates the effect of "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" to negate the effects of all other face-up monsters, increase its ATK by 1000 (since Yuma activated a card effect during the Battle Phase), and let "Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon" attack again. As Yuma used "Gagaga Child" for this card's Xyz Summon, it couldn't attack this turn. After Yuma sets three cards, Alito activates "Overlay Flash" to negate this card's effects. Later "Battlin' Boxer Lead Yoke" (whose ATK was 3000 via its own effect) attacks this card, but Yuma activates "Battle Rush" to prevent this card from being destroyed and make Alito take the battle damage he would take, however Alito activates "Fancy Footwork" to negate and destroy "Battle Rush". Ray activates the effect of "Shining Sly" to Tribute Yuma's "Gogogo Golem" and reduce the damage to 0, but Girag activates the effect of "Giant Hand" to negate the effect of "Shining Sly". On the last turn of the Duel, Ray activates "Shining Reborn" to revive this card and set "Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force" on Yuma's field. Yuma then activates "Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force" to Rank-Up this card via Chaos Xyz Evolution in order to Xyz Summon "Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray V". This card is then attacked by two "Umbral Horror Mirage Tokens", with Yuma detaching to Overlay Units to negate the attacks. A third "Mirage Token" attacks, destroying itself, but letting Vector activates "Umbral Horror Retaliation" to destroy this card.
