- In episode 153, Jack Atlas draws this card during his Turbo Duel against Yusei Fudo. In the next episode, Jack equips this card onto "Red Nova Dragon". Jack explains that due to the effect of "Red Cocoon", the effects of "Shooting Star Dragon" will be negated when "Red Nova Dragon" attacks it. "Red Nova Dragon" then attacks "Shooting Star Dragon", but Yusei activates "High and Low" to allow himself to send the top card of his Deck to the Graveyard up to three times. For each monster that is sent this way, "Shooting Star Dragon" will ATK equal to the ATK of the sent monster. If this "Shooting Star Dragon's" ATK exceeds the ATK of "Red Nova Dragon", it will be destroyed. Yusei sends the first top card of his Deck to the Graveyard and reveals it to be "Sonic Warrior", so "Shooting Star Dragon" gains 1000 ATK. Yusei then sends the second top card of his Deck to the Graveyard and reveals it to be "Speed Warrior", so "Shooting Star Dragon" gains 900 ATK. Jack believes that Yusei will let "Shooting Star Dragon" be destroyed and survive with 100 Life Points remaining, but Yusei declares that he will use the effect of "High and Low" one last time, which surprises Jack. Yusei notes that he knows the risks, but he can't beat Jack if he doesn't try. Yusei then sends the third top card of his Deck to the Graveyard and reveals it to be "Quillbolt Hedgehog", so "Shooting Star Dragon" gains 800 ATK. Both battling monsters then destroy each other in a Double KO. Jack then activates this card's last effect to Special Summon "Red Dragon Archfiend" from his Graveyard during the End Phase. Yusei then activates "Crush Star" to Special Summon "Sonic Chick" and "Sonic Warrior" from his hand and Graveyard.
