- Pegasus played this card in his duel with Yugi Mutou, later fusing it with "Thousand-Eyes Idol" to Fusion Summon "Thousand-Eyes Restrict".
- This card can be seen when Duke Devlin is building his Virtual World deck during episode 106, though he does not select it.
- When Relinquished is attacked while equipped with a monster, Battle Damage is only done to the opponent.
- In the manga version, Relinquished could Equip itself with more than one Monster at one time.
- It's attack in the anime is Pilphered Power Attack in the English dub. In the Japanese dub it's attack name was Illusion Black Magic, though since it was equipped with Dark Magician at the time, whose attack is Black Magic in the Japanese dub, it presumably appends "Illusion" in front of the equipped monster's attack name.
- It's effect to equip itself with an opponents monster is called Hypnotic Attraction in the English dub and Dark Eyes Magic in the Japanese dub.

- During episode 39 this card can be seen on the ground after Chazz drops some of his cards after explaining who the culprits behind the theft of the Spirit Keys were.

In the Spanish Anime, this card was known as "Despojo". In the French dub, this card was known as " L'Abandonné" means " The Abandoned"
