When used in the anime, each time an attack is negated by "Totem Pole", one of the faces is fired off, blocking the attack.

Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's

In episode 7, Yusei Fudo uses this card during his Ground Duel against Bolt Tanner while the former was using Tenzen Yanagi's Deck. When "Giant Ushi Oni" attacks "Ashoka Pillar" (which inflicts 2000 damage to the controller upon being destroyed), Yusei activates this card to negate the attack. Tanner then activates "Spiderweb Castle" in response to this card's activation. On the last turn of the Duel, this card is destroyed by the effect of "Triangle O".

In episode 10, Yanagi gives this to Yusei before Yusei leaves the Facility and states to Yusei he should have this card because he will have more use for it than he (Yanagi) ever will.
