In the anime, this card's effect activates when it destroyed in any way, not only by battle.

Aki Izayoi Summoned this card in Attack Position during her opening move in her Duel with Duel Profiler Kodo Kinomiya in episode 22. Later, when "Violet Witch" was destroyed, she used its effect to add "Phoenixican Cluster Amaryllis" to her hand.

Aki is shown using this card against a Duel Academy student in a flashback during the same Duel.
