- Noah activated Next World to Summon Yamata Dragon. He then used it to destroy Yugi's Dark Magician. It was then returned to his hand. He later Summoned it a second time by tributing his "Otohime" and a set monster. He then had it attack Yugi's Kuriboh who had been switched to Attack Position due to the effect of "Otohime". This attack would have won the duel for him, but Yugi activated Nutrient Z, giving him 4000 extra Life Points before damage calculation. Yamata Dragon was then returned back to Noah's hand. It played no other part in the duel after that.
