The International version of "Axe of Despair" has the head removed, to make the card look less horrific. Some episodes of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime (see here and here) use the International artwork instead. also in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters II: Dark Duel Stories,Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters IV: Battle of Great Duelist Axe of Despair was drawn with a different artwork.
