Card Rulings:Fire King Avatar Barong
OCG Rulings
- The effect that adds a "Fire King" card from the Deck to the hand is a Trigger Effect that activates in the Graveyard during the next Standby Phase after it was destroyed by a card effect.[1]
- The effect to Special Summon this card from the hand cannot be activated during the Damage Step.[1]
- If a "Fire King Avatar Barong" that was destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard is Special Summoned to the field during the same turn by the effect of "Monster Reborn" and is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard once again by the effect of "Torrential Tribute", during the next Standby Phase the effect of "Fire King Avatar Barong" can only be activated once.[2]
- If a "Fire King Avatar Barong" that was destroyed by a card effect and sent to the Graveyard leaves the Graveyard before the next Standby Phase, the effect of that "Fire King Avatar Barong" that adds a "Fire King" card from the Deck to the hand cannot be activated during the next Standby Phase.[3]
- If you have 2 copies of "Fire King Avatar Barong" in your hand and a face-up "Fire King" monster you control is destroyed by a card effect, you can only activate the effect of 1 of the copies of "Fire King Avatar Barong" in your hand. Also, even if you have a "Fire King Avatar Kirin" and a "Fire King Avatar Barong" in your hand, you can only activate the effect of 1 of them, either "Fire King Avatar Kirin" or "Fire King Avatar Barong".[4]
- If a face-up "Fire King" monster you control is destroyed by an effect activated as a chain 2 or higher, the effect of "Fire King Avatar Barong" to Special Summon itself from the hand can be activated in a new chain after the current one is done resolving.[5]
- If you activated "Generation Shift" destroying a face-up "Fire King Avatar Barong" you control while you don't have "Fire King Avatar Barong" in your hand, if you add a "Fire King Avatar Barong" from your Deck to your hand by the effect of "Generation Shift", that "Fire King Avatar Barong" you added to your hand can activate its effect that Special Summons itself from your hand.[6]
