- Q: The Pendulum Effect of "Amorphage Gluttony" is applying. If the effect of "Forbidden Lance" is applied to an "Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer" on my field, can I activate its effect?
- A: In this scenario, since the Pendulum Effect of "Amorphage Gluttony" is applying, neither player can activate monster effects other than "Amorphage" monsters' effects. Therefore, you cannot activate the effect of "Ignister Prominence, the Blasting Dracoslayer".[1]
- Q: With the effect of "Machine Duplication", can you Special Summon monsters with the same name as a monster affected by "Forbidden Lance"?
- A: If "Machine Duplication" targets a Machine-Type monster with <500 ATK that has been affected by "Forbidden Lance", then you can still Special Summon monsters with the same name as the Machine-Type monster.[2][3]
- Q: My opponent activates "Armageddon Designator" by banishing a "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit". During the same Duel, if I activate "Forbidden Lance" and make a "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" on my field unaffected by Spell/Trap effects, can I activate the effect of that face-up Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit?
- A: In this scenario, "Armageddon Designator" was activated by banishing "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit", which means neither player can activate cards or effects with the same name as that card. Since the effect of "Armageddon Designator" is not an effect applied to monsters, even if "Forbidden Lance" makes a "Ghost Ogre & Snow Rabbit" on the field unaffected by Trap effects, its effect cannot be activated.[4]
- Q: "Performapal Five-Rainbow Magician" is in my opponent's Pendulum Zone and I have no Set cards in my Spell & Trap Zone. In this situation, if I activate "Forbidden Lance" and target a face-up monster on my field, can it attack or activate its effects?
- A: If the Pendulum Effect of "Performapal Five-Rainbow Magician" that prevents monsters on the field from attacking or activating their effects is applying, the monster that is unaffected by Spell/Trap effects due to the effect of "Forbidden Lance" can attack, but it cannot activate its effects.[5]

- You can activate this card during the Damage Step, before damage calculation.[6]
- If the monster you target has less than 800 ATK, its ATK becomes 0 and it will be unaffected by the effects of other Spell/Trap Cards.[6]
- "Emobidment of Apophis [sic]" will be unaffected by "Trap Stun" and similar cards while it is affected by "Forbidden Lance".[6]

Rules posted online will be limited to super-complicated and really weird situations. Imagine going down to a dozen pages of card rules, instead of a thousand. It could happen.
