OCG Rulings

• "Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. If an "Aesir" monster is on the field, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand) to your opponent's side of the field in Defense Position." is not treated as a monster effect. (It is a procedure to Special Summon a Special Summon Monster. Special Summon this card this way does not start a Chain Link.)

• After "Jormungardr the Nordic Serpent" is Special Summoned from the hand using its own procedure, if it is sent to the Graveyard, it can be Special Summoned by an effect like "Monster Reborn".

• The effect "If an "Aesir" monster is not on the field, destroy this card." is a Continuous Effect. (It is also applied during the Damage Step.)

• The effect "If this face-up Defense Position card you control is changed to face-up Attack Position: Take 3000 damage. A: While your opponent controls "Gaap the Divine Soldier", when "Jormungardr the Nordic Serpent" is Special Summoned in face-down Defense Position, such as by "Burst Rebirth", the effect of "Gaap the Divine Soldier" immediately changes it to face-up Attack Position. However, since "Jormungardr the Nordic Serpent" was not changed from face-up Defense Position to face-up Attack Position, its effect that inflicts damage will not activate.

• Q: While the effect of "Gaap the Divine Soldier" is applying, if "Jormungardr the Nordic Serpent" is Special Summoned by "Monster Reborn", will its effect activate?
