- If you Tribute Summon a monster by Tributing 2 or more monsters while you control 2 copies of "Precious Cards from Beyond", their effects are activated in a Chain.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: When your opponent Tribute Summons by Tributing 2 or more monsters, can the effect of "Precious Cards from Beyond" be activated?
- A: The effect of "Precious Cards from Beyond" is only activated when the player that activated "Precious Cards from Beyond" Tribute Summons a monster by Tributing 2 or more monsters. Therefore, when your opponent Tribute Summons, you cannot draw cards using the effect of "Precious Cards from Beyond".[2]
- Q: If "Kaiser Sea Horse" is Tributed as 2 Tributes, can the effect of "Precious Cards from Beyond" be activated?
- A: The effect of "Precious Cards from Beyond" is not applied if you do not Tribute Summon a monster by Tributing 2 or more monsters. If "Kaiser Sea Horse" is Tributed as 2 Tributes for the Tribute Summon of a LIGHT monster, you cannot draw cards using the effect of "Precious Cards from Beyond".[3]
- Q: I Tribute Summoned a "Master Peace, the True Dracoslaying King" by Tributing "Disciples of the True Dracophoenix" and "Majesty Maiden, the True Dracocaster". At this time, will the effect of my "Precious Cards from Beyond" activate?
- A: The effect of "Precious Cards from Beyond" will only activate if you Tribute 2 or more monsters for a Tribute Summon. In this scenario, since the only monster that was Tributed was "Majesty Maiden, the True Dracocaster", the effect of "Precious Cards from Beyond" does not activate.[4]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[5] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise.
