TCG Rulings
- You cannot activate this effect during the Damage Step.[1]
- You can activate Revival Rose's effect even if the Level 5 or higher Plant-Type monster is destroyed during the middle of a Chain. It will start a new Chain afterwards.[1]
- If a Level 5 or higher monster being treated as a Plant by DNA Surgery is destroyed, you can activate the effect of Revival Rose.[1]
- You cannot activate the effect of Revival Rose if a face-down Level 5 or higher Plant-Type monster is destroyed while face-down by a card effect.[1]
OCG Rulings
- This card's effect cannot be activated during the Damage Step.[2][3]
