OCG Rulings
- The effect "When a coin toss is performed, you can choose to redo the coin toss." does not start a Chain Link.[1]
- During the effect resolution of a card, if the controller of "Second Coin Toss" performed a coin toss, before continuing with the effect resolution based on the result, you can choose whether or not to apply the effect of "Second Coin Toss".[1]
- If only your opponent performed a coin toss during the resolution of a card, you cannot apply the effect of "Second Coin Toss".[1]
- Even if you control multiple copies of "Second Coin Toss" in your Spell & Trap Zone, the effect "you can choose to redo the coin toss." can only be applied once per turn.[1]
TCG Rulings
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise. - The effect of this card only applies when you perform a coin toss, not when your opponent performs a coin toss.
- If an effect requires multiple coin flips, like "Barrel Dragon", you would redo all 3 coin flips.
- Even if multiple "Second Coin Toss" cards are active, you can only redo each coin toss once.
- Even if the original coin toss came out in your favor, you may use the effect of "Second Coin Toss" and redo the toss.
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Kryuel: If "Second Coin Toss" is active, and "Kryuel" is sent to the Graveyard as a result of battle, you can re-do the coin toss.
- Lucky Chance: If you use the effect of "Second Coin Toss" to re-flip the coin, you do not reselect for "Lucky Chance".
