TCG Rulings
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Evocator Chevalier: If you Special Summoned “Evocator Chevalier” with “Symbols of Duty” and then send “Symbols of Duty” to the Graveyard as a cost, “Evocator Chevalier” will still destroy 1 card your opponent controls.
OCG Rulings
- If "Evocator Chevalier" is Special Summoned by an Equip Spell Card like "Symbols of Duty", then you can send "Symbols of Duty" to the Graveyard to activate the effect of "Evocator Chevalier", and the opponent's monster will still be destroyed even though "Evocator Chevalier" will also be destroyed.[1]
Previously Official Rulings
These TCG rulings were issued by Upper Deck Entertainment and have since been declared unofficial by Konami.[2] They were previously considered official and can still be correct, as long as they follow the official gameplay rules, or unless Konami has issued a ruling that says otherwise.
