- This is a Quick Effect that activates in the hand. (This effect does not target.)[1]
- The effect to Special Summon this card cannot be activated during the Damage Step.[1]
- The "but loses 500 DEF during each player’s Standby Phase" does not start a Chain Link.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: Can the effect of "Trifortressops" to Special Summon itself be activated multiple times in the same chain?
- A: The effect of a single copy of "Trifortressops" can only activate its effect once during the same chain. (The effect of a single copy of Trifortressops cannot activate its effect multiple times in a chain. Furthermore, if you have 2 copies of Trifortressops in your hand, their effects to Special Summon themselves from the hand can be activated once each in the same chain.[2]
- When "Trifortressops" is Special Summoned by its own effect, the "If this card is Special Summoned this way, it is unaffected by other card effects, but loses 500 DEF during each player’s Standby Phase." effect is already being applied. Therefore, even if "Skill Drain" is active when "Trifortressops" is Special Summoned, it will be unaffected by "Skill Drain" and its effects will be applied as usual.[3]
