TCG Rulings
- This card's effect to place a Venom Counter on each face-up monster starts a Chain.[1]
- If a monster's original ATK is 0, or its ATK has been reduced to 0 by another card effect(s) and a Venom Counter is placed on it, it will not be destroyed by “Venom Swamp”.[1]
- If "Venom Swamp" is negated by "Imperial Order", etc., Venom Counters placed by its effect remain in play.[1]
Mentions in Other Rulings
- Vennominon the King of Poisonous Snakes: This card’s effect “This card is unaffected by "Venom Swamp".” means that counters will not be placed on it by “Venom Swamp”. Additionally, it will not lose ATK for Venom Counters placed on it by other cards if “Venom Swamp” is in play.
Judge List Rulings
- The Venom Counters that are placed to monsters by the effect of "Venom Swamp" do not have a connection with "Venom Swamp", so if "Venom Swamp" is removed from the field the Venom Counters remain attached to the monsters.[2]
OCG Rulings
- If "Imperial Order" is removed from the field and "Venom Swamp" and "Ring of Magnetism" simultaneously reduce a monster's ATK to 0, then whichever card was played last is considered to be the card which reduces the monster's ATK to 0.[3]
- If "Venom Swamp" is on the field and "Ring of Magnetism" is equipped to a monster, then the monster is considered to have its ATK reduced to 0 by "Ring of Magnetism".[3]
- If "Ring of Magnetism" is equipped to a monster and afterwards "Venom Swamp" is activated, then the monster is considered to have its ATK reduced to 0 by "Venom Swamp". Therefore, the monster is destroyed by "Venom Swamp".[3]
