- This approach works just as well with other easy-to-summon Level 5 monsters like "Darkflare Dragon" or "Ghost Ship" to overlay for a strong Rank 5 Xyz monster like "Tiras, Keeper of Genesis".
- This card has potential to be used with "A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon".
- "Magna Drago" and this card can work well together. They're both dragons, both gain ATK when inflicting damage, and both can be used to Synchro Summon a Level 6 or higher Synchro Monster. If they both survive four turns until this card becomes Level 8, it will be possible to Synchro Summon "Trident Dragion" using only them.
- "Swords of Revealing Light" will help protect them from battle for three of these turns, but the cards such as "Starlight Road" and "Solemn Strike" or "Solemn Warning" will be needed to protect them from card effects.
- Use this card in conjunction with cards like "Different Dimension Gate", "Junk Archer", "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" or "Dark End Dragon" to create openings for its direct attack.
- Activate "Raigeki" or "Burst Stream of Destruction" before attacking with this card to ensure it will be able to attack directly.
- "Dark Hole" or "Black Rose Dragon" are alternatives if there is a "Return of the Dragon Lords" in your Graveyard.
Traditional Format
- This card can be searched by "Tempest, Dragon Ruler of Storms", "Witch of the Black Forest" and "Last Will".
- Activate the effect of "Chaos Emperor Dragon - Envoy of the End" or "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus" while there is a Special Summoned "Witch of the Black Forest" on the field, so this card can be searched, then Normal Summon it afterward to safely attack directly not only without the concern of Trap Cards like "Mirror Force", but also without needing to worry about hand traps such as "Swift Scarecrow", "Battle Fader", "Gorz the Emissary of Darkness", or "Tragoedia".
