- Use "Archfiend's Oath" with "Convulsion of Nature". Your Deck will be upside down, which means that you will know the name of the top card.
- Use with "A Cat of Ill Omen", "Big Eye", "Plaguespreader Zombie", "Magicat", "Field-Commander Rahz", "Shutendoji", "Cyber Valley", "Crystal Beast Cobalt Eagle", "Pixie Knight" "Dark Tinker", "Fruits of Kozaky's Studies", "Spellbook Organization", "A Feather of the Phoenix", "Divine Dragon Aquabizarre", Lavalval Chain, "Deep Diver", or "Card Advance" to ensure a correct guess. You can also use it if an Equip Spell Card you control returns to the top of your Deck due to its effect.
- Among the above cards, two can be used well together in a deck; "Shutendoji" can use its second effect to return "Plaguespreader Zombie" after it uses its effect to revive itself. This card can decrease the loss of hand advantage for either of these cards, though only once per turn.
- Keep in mind that the card added with "Archfiend's Oath" is not considered to be drawn. Thus, you do not gain Life Points with "Solemn Wishes".

- "Sylvans" (combined with "Convulsion of Nature"), as you can almost completely control which "Sylvan" monsters' effects you want to use, whether they're Summoned or sent to the Graveyard via other "Sylvan" cards.
