Card Tips:Dark Eruption
- This card can be searched by "Triple Tactics Thrust", "Endymion, the Mighty Master of Magic", and other generic searchers.
- "Dark Eruption" can be used to return and summon a monster that can be used as a tribute for "Crush Card Virus".
- You can use this to retrieve any "Forbidden One" monster - especially after they have been sent to the Graveyard due to "Armageddon Knight's" effect - and can be further used with "Armageddon Knight" himself.
- You can use this to recycle either "Sangan" or "Witch of the Black Forest". This can be a great asset to an Exodia Deck.
- Use this card to revive "Mystic Tomato" so you can reuse its effect.
- Use this card with "D.D. Crow" to recycle it for another use.
- You can use this card to return "Yubel" to your hand if you are afraid that your opponent may remove it from play.

- If you run a Destiny Hero in your Deck, this card should be greatly useful, or yet you should use this card to fuel your draw beyond Destiny Draw.
- "Dark Eruption" is useful in decks with DARK Tuner monsters, like "Krebons" or "Dark Resonator", since it allows you to use them again for another Synchro Summon.
- Use this card in conjunction with cards like "Card Trooper" or "Magical Merchant" for a Reverse Toolbox strategy: recover cards from your Graveyard instead of searching them from the Deck.
- Also, with the strategy mentioned above, you can use this card with "Prometheus, King of the Shadows". You don't need to worry if "Prometheus" is dumped early to the Graveyard, as you can recover it when you need it thanks to "Dark Eruption", making possible even an OTK in late game.
- This card is useful in a deck that uses Blackwings because, unlike "Against the Wind", it can return monsters to your hand cost-free. Monsters that this card can target include:
- Blackwing - Blizzard the Far North
- Blackwing - Breeze the Zephyr
- Blackwing - Fane the Steel Chain
- Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind
- Blackwing - Ghibli the Searing Wind (since "Against the Wind" cannot return it to your hand)

- This card is also useful in a Cyberdark deck, because it can return any fallen Cyberdark monster from the Graveyard to your hand.
- Use "Snake Rain" or "Future Fusion" to send dark monsters to have a wide selection to add to your hand.
- This card is useful in a "Junk" deck, as it can recycle "Junk Synchron" to the hand easily to set up other Synchro Summons.
- In a "Dark Magician" deck (both regular and Pendulum style), this card can be used to recover monsters like "Legion the Fiend Jester", "Dark Effigy", "Gagaga Magician", "Gagaga Girl", and the "Time-Space Magicians" (if they ended up in the Graveyard by accident) to set up several different possible strategies, depending on the situation.
