• This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute using "Double Coston" and "The First Monarch".

• Get this card onto the field in face up Defense Position along with a "Stardust Dragon". "Stardust Dragon" will protect the field from being crippled by a destruction effect while this card will ensure that "Stardust Dragon" will not be destroyed by battle.
  • "Malefic Stardust Dragon" can be used in a similar manner, although it will only be able to protect the Field Spell Card.

• If used with other Fish-Type monsters, "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" can be used to gather monsters to Tribute Summon "Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua" and "A Legendary Ocean" can be used as the Field Spell Card to keep "Chacu Challhua" on the field.

• "Labyrinth of Nightmare", "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise" or "Spirit Burner" will place this card in Defense Position, allowing this card to attack directly and lock down the opponent's Battle Phase.

• Use "D2 Shield" to double the original defense of this card and then be able to inflict 2400 damage to your opponents Life Points in a single turn.
  • If you activate D2 Shield with Rise to Full Height, you can deal 4800 damage.

• Use "Chorus of Sanctuary" or "Horn of Light" to increase this card's DEF, and thus the damage it can inflict due to its effect.

• Activate 3 "Metal Reflect Slimes" and 1 "Unity" and use this card's Burn effect to inflict 5700 points of effect damage per turn ((3000+3000+3000+2400)/2=5700).
  • A weaker version of this combo involves 3 "Stronghold the Moving Fortresses" instead of "Metal Reflect Slime" and inflicts 4200 points of effect damage per turn ((2000+2000+2000+2400)/2=4200).
  • "Scapegoat" and "United We Stand" would equal (4000+2400)/2=3200

• Combine this card with "Spider Web". "Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua" will be able to attack the opponent directly, then will switch to Defense Position, preventing the opponent from conducting their Battle Phase.
  • This strategy work well with "Spirit Burner" equipped to "Chacu Challhua".

• This card can be used with "Secret Village of the Spellcasters" in any Spellcaster Deck. With one Spellcaster on the field, "Earthbound Immortal Chacu Challhua" in Defense Position, and "Secret Village of the Spellcasters" in play, the opponent will not be able to activate Spell Cards or conduct their Battle Phase.

• The Trap Card "Revival of the Immortals" works well with this card, since this monster's burn effect be used and it never needs to attack. Using "Armageddon Knight" or "Dark Grepher" can put "Chacu Challhua" right into the Graveyard on the first turn to get it ready to Summon.

• Tribute Summon by Tributing 1 "Hardened Armed Dragon" and any other monster to prevent it from being destroyed, even by its own effect.

• This card can be useful in a Crystal Beast Deck because "Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins" cannot be destroyed by an effect as long as one Crystal Beast is in the Spell & Trap Card Zone. It can also be used in combination with "Crystal Beast Emerald Tortoise" to attack and then switch to Defense Position, preventing the opponent from conducting their Battle Phase.

• Use this card's Defense Position effect to stall the opponent while getting strategies together.
