• "Generation Shift" can be used to trigger the Manticore of Darkness loop.

• "Generation Shift" will work extremely well in a "Crystal Beast" deck, since it says 'destroy' not 'Tribute' and so moves your chosen Crystal Beast to the back row, and gives you another.

• This card works well with "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys". Destroy "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" to bring out another "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys". During your next standby phase the destroyed "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" will return to the field, activating its effect.

• This card works well with "Harpies". For example, if you have "Harpie Lady" on your side of the field, you can activate this card to summon the more powerful "Cyber Harpie Lady", whose name is treated as "Harpie Lady".

• Use this card with "Darksea Float" to draw 1 card or to take advantage of other similar effects.

• This card works well in an "Archfiend" Deck with "Pandemonium", because your hand can start to fill up with "Archfiend" monsters that you can play as a combination (such as "Vilepawn Archfiend" with "Infernalqueen Archfiend", especially with "Ultimate Offering".

• Use this card when "Macro Cosmos" or "Dimensional Fissure" is on the field with your "D.D. Survivor" and "D.D. Scout Plane". If you hadn't summoned or have the ability to summon (through other card's effects), then this gives you swarming ability, since the destroyed card can simply return at your End Phase.

• This card works well with "T.G."; chain it to your opponent remove from play or steal effects. Not only will you trigger your "T.G." monster's effect, you'll gain another copy of the monster in your hand.

• Use this card to counter the effects of your opponent's "Creature Swap", "Terror Byte" or "Big Eye".

• Use this card on a "Battle Fader" you Special Summoned to add another to your hand, allowing you to stall your opponent for another turn.

• This card is useful because of its ability to consistently search any monster. A good example of this is "Level Eater".
