* Since "[[Kiryu]]" is a [[Level]] 5 monster, it can be difficult to use its equip effect. Cards like "[[Cost Down]]" and "[[Double Summon]]" or "[[Mausoleum of the Emperor]]" can help get it out easier. Alternately, you can just dump it into the Graveyard and equip it to "[[Dark Blade]]" using "[[Roll Out!]]".
* When "[[The Creator]]" is on the field while "[[Dark Blade]]" is [[equipped]] with "[[Kiryu]]", you can use "[[Kiryu]]'s" effect to attack your opponent's [[Life Points]] directly, and then use "[[The Creator]]'s" effect to resummon "[[Kiryu]]", and [[equip]] it back to "[[Dark Blade]]", ready to repeat in your next turn.
* The same can be done with "[[Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon]]", with the added option of being able to [[Special Summon]] "Kiryu" from your hand instead of having to [[Normal Summon]] it.
