- This card can be used as a good counter against "Bujin", "Gishki", "Fire Fist", "Ghostrick" and "Spellbook" decks.
- Use this card in a "Sylvan" deck: the deck generally doesn't have cards that search for other cards; instead, it has cards that put cards on the top of the deck and that rearrange them, so this card will not harm the deck while may stop entire opposing strategies from working, such as one of the aforementioned decks.
- This card, combined with "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier", can be used to restrict only your opponent from adding cards from their Deck to their Hand. Similar results can be obtained with "Mist Valley" cards and "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite".
