- This card can be used against "Bujin", "Gishki", "Fire Fist", "Majespecter", "Ghostrick", "Spellbook", "Qli" and "Nekroz" Decks. It also shuts down popular tech cards like "Reinforcement of the Army", "Pot of Duality", "Fire Formation - Tenki", "Luster Pendulum, the Dracoslayer" etc.
- Use this card in a "Sylvan" Deck: The Deck generally doesn't have cards that search for other cards; instead, it has cards that put them on the top of the Deck and that rearrange them, so this card will not harm the Deck while may stop entire opposing strategies from working, such as one of the aforementioned Decks.
- This card, combined with "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier", can be used to restrict only your opponent from adding cards from their Deck to their hand. Similar results can be obtained with "Mist Valley" cards and "Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite".
