• This card, added along with "Des Feral Imp" and "The Transmigration Prophecy", would provide a 3-card combination to keep you from decking out.

• "Pot of Avarice" works well with "Magical Merchant", who can fill the Graveyard with monsters.

• If you Special Summoned Stardust Dragon with the effect of Starlight Road, you can't revive it after it's been sent to the Graveyard since it was not Synchro Summoned first, but you can use Pot of Avarice to return it (along with 4 other monsters) to the Extra Deck, draw 2 cards, then Synchro Summon it later.

• Use this card in a Shooting Star Dragon Deck. By returning tuners from the graveyard to the deck, you increase the chance of getting tuners for Shooting Star Dragon's effect.

• This card can be useful in a Koa'ki Meiru deck seeing as how quickly the graveyard fills up

• Use with cards that can search copies of themselves out like "Nimble Momonga" or "Giant Germ". Once you have 1 on the field and two in the Graveyard, you can add the two back to your Deck to use their effects once again.
  • This card is a godsend for LV Monsters, as they can be summoned from the deck.

• Use after activating "Future Fusion" for a Fusion Monster with a large amount of Fusion Material Monsters.
  • (e.g., Future Fusion of : Five-Headed Dragon, Chimeratech Overdragon, etc.)

• This card is great if you use a Cyber Dragon Deck, if you want to utilise all of the cards that upgrade such as: Photon Generator Unit, Attack Reflector Unit etc.

• Use in Gadgets to return them to the deck while also being able to draw.

• This card is very handy in a Lightsworn deck. You are going to wind up with many monsters in your Graveyard whether you want to or not, this card helps forestall decking out and gets some extra cards in your hand in the process. However, by returning the Lightsworns, it would be harder to summon their ace monster, Judgment Dragon. (not problem if Judgment Dragon itself got milled)

• If you don't want to thicken your deck, you can return Synchro, Fusion and/or Xyz Monsters into your Extra deck.

• Use 3 Pot of Avarice in a Frog deck. Having Substitoad and any monster on the field will allow you to fill the graveyard with frogs by constantly tributing them, meeting Pot of Avarice's cost.

• Use in a Volcanic deck to recycle your Volcanic Shell and Volcanic Scattershot back into your deck along with drawing two bonus cards.

• Use this card in a Fabled and Dark World deck since they fill the grave pretty quickly and you can re-use them

• You can use this card in an Exodia Necross deck. Send the Exodia pieces to the grave and summon Exodia Necross. Thin out your deck until you have no cards and save this card in your hand with other cards that defend you, like Destiny Hero - Defender, Marshmallon, and Swords of Revealing Light. Use this card to bring back the Exodia pieces to your deck and defend yourself. You will already have two pieces in your hand, and the last three will be in your deck to draw.
• Reuse cards like Giant Germ and Nimble Momonga to activate their effects again.

• Use this card in a Laval deck because they have many ways of sending cards to the graveyard this card can save you from a deck out at the right time.

• Use this card in an elemental hero hero to recycle Wroughtweiler and Elemental Hero Necroshade for more fusion summon or to speacial summon Elemental Hero Bladedge.
