Card Tips:Red Dragon Archfiend

  • This card works well in "Archfiend" decks, as it can use the effects of "Pandemonium" when it gets destroyed by a card effect like "Archfiend's Roar" or your opponent's card effects.
  • This card is very deadly against opponent's Rock Deck as it can destroy all Defense Position monsters.
  • Summon "Sangan" and have this card's effect destroy it to gain the effect without your opponent attacking or using a card on either one.
  • Combo this card with a "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys" you control. If "Red Dragon Archfiend" destroys the "Phoenix", it will Special Summon itself during your next Standby Phase and destroy all Spell and Trap Cards, and this card destroys any and all of your monsters who did not declare an attack during your turn.
  • This card works well with Vampire Lord and Archfiend of Gilfer. If Vampire Lord's attack is negated it will be special summoned back during your next standby phase. Archfiend of Gilfer would be destroyed and become an equip spell that's nearly impossible to get rid of.
  • After this card has attacked a DEF position monster and used its effect play "Lineage of Destruction" so this card can attack again.
  • This card doesn't work well with "Goyo Guardian" or "Junk Synchron", because the monster is summoned in defense position and will be destroyed by the effect of "Red Dragon Archfiend".
    • However, it can be a good combo to use "All-Out Attacks" while "Red Dragon Archfiend" is on the field, because the monster that is summoned is switched to attack position, and must attack.
  • Your opponent will probably attack with this card first, leaving other monsters ready for a Direct Attack, but if you use "Negate Attack" your opponent will be forced to end the Battle Phase, thus other monsters they control won't be able to attack and will be destroyed by "Red Dragon Archfiend"'s effect.
  • Always keep in your deck cards like "Royal Decree" and "Trap Jammer" incase your opponent tries to destory this card by is own effect.
  • "Labyrinth of Nightmare" can keep opponents monsters locked into Defense Position although their Defense Position monsters will change to Attack Position.
  • Another good card to use is "Card Rotator". Before you Summon this card, most of your opponent's monster would be in Attack Position. With the help of "Card Rotator" you can easily empty their field.
  • "Windstorm of Etaqua" is a great trap card because it keeps face down monsters in defense while changing attack position monsters to defense.
  • Use "Ojama Trio" to block out your opponents monster card zones with tokens and destroy them with "Red Dragon Archfiend" to inflict 900 points of damage. You can also deal extra damage if you give "Red Dragon Archfiend" the Piercing ability to do at least 2900 damage.
  • Although being a powerful card, it can be very dangerous to use together with "Gladiator Beasts", as it will destroy any "Gladiator Beasts" that were Special Summoned. However, it can function very well for a single turn, if you first attack with it to destroy any Defense Position monsters your opponent controls, and then attack with your "Gladiator Beasts". Then, tag in a "Murmillo" to destroy this card.
