This card can be very usefull to surprise an opponent, as its effect will turn a face-down defensive monster into a face-up monster in attack mode, without the flip effect being activated. Since most of the monsters that are generally set in defence instead of being summoned in attack have a very high defense but a very low attack (such as the [[Mystical Elf]] or [[Charcoal Inpachi]]), or very low ATK and DEF and quite a powerful/annoying effect (such as [[Penguin Soldier]] or [[Man-Eater Bug]]), [[Shadow of Eyes]] will most likely allow you to inflict quite a great damage to your opponent's life points when you attack the affected monster when your turn comes.
