Card Tips:Vylon Prism
- This card can be searched by "Vylon Element", "Brohunder", "Thunder Sea Horse", "Thunder Dragon Fusion", "Thunder Dragonduo", "Tuner's High", "Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Bane", "Chaofeng, Phantom of the Yang Zing", "Gizmek Makami, the Ferocious Fanged Fortress", "Gizmek Uka, the Festive Fox of Fecundity", "Lyna the Light Charmer, Lustrous", "Shadow's Light", "Toy Soldier", "Shining Angel", "Chaos Zone", "Photon Veil", "Summoner Monk", "Primathmech Alembertian", "Battle Royal Mode - Joining", "Vampire Dragon", "Resonator Engine", "Soul Rope", "Rescue Ferret", "Umbramirage the Elemental Lord", "Sangan", "Witch of the Black Forest", and other generic searchers.
- Use this card to synchro summon "Power Tool Mecha Dragon" or "Seven Swords Warrior", and equip this card to trigger their effect. Alternatively, summon "Scrap Dragon" and equip this card so that you can use it as a target for Scrap Dragon's effect.
- This card can be Normal Summoned with the effect of "Mahunder" and "Pahunder" for an instant Level 8 Synchro Monster or Rank 4 Xyz Monster.
- Special Summon this card with the effect of "Vylon Hept" to Xyz Summon a Rank 4 Xyz Monster. The effect of "Hapt" that would banish this card will not apply.
- This effect doesn't require it to be sent to the Graveyard for a Synchro Summon. It can also activate when used as Tribute, Fused from the field, or destroyed in battle (if you still have a face-up monster).
- This card can work well in Gemini monster Decks, as it as a Level 4 Tuner AND can become an Equip Card, either for its effect or to use as fuel for the effects or "Phoenix Gearfried" or "Evocator Chevalier".
- This card also works with a Deck using "Skill Drain", and is the most effective Tuner for such a Deck.
- This card can also be useful for a Watt Deck, as its a LIGHT Thunder-Type Tuner monster. After being sent to Graveyard and equipped to a monster like "Wattgiraffe", it provides the Deck with a much-needed ATK boost that circumvents the restriction of "Messenger of Peace".
- This card works well in a "Frog" deck, as you can use cards like "Ronintoadin" or "Swap Frog" to special summon a level 6 Synchro Monster in one turn. "Dewloren, Tiger King of the Ice Barrier" is a perfect choice; you can equip this card to "Dewloren" and then use his effect to return this card to your hand and Synchro Summon again next turn.
- Adding "Ultimate Offering" to put "Ronintoadin" in the good use by tribute him for Level 5 monsters to matching the Tuner Monster's Level(s).
- This card helps tremendously when paired to "Vylon Alpha". "Alpha's" ATK are low for its Level when alone, which this card can compliment.
- If this card is used as an Xyz Material, and is then discarded from the monster zone to the graveyard to activate the effect of an Xyz Monster, the conditions to activate its effect are not fulfilled. Xyz materials are not considered to have left the field, or been on the field when they are detached.
- Its effect can be applied, however, if it is used in a Synchro Summon.
- Any "Tribute Summon" using "Vylon Prism" can be used to activate the effect of "Vylon Prism"
- This effect can also be activated if your opponent sends "Vylon Prism" to the graveyard using "Ninjitsu Art of Super-Transformation".
- Send this card to the Graveyard to Summon cards that inflict piercing battle damage, like ""Dark Driceratops" or "Avenging Knight Parshath". If you equip them with this card, you will inflict massive damage to your opponent's Life Points when attacking a Defense Position monster.
