* This card can be [[Searcher|searched]] by "[[Pharaonic Advent]]", "[[The Despair Uranus]]", and other [[List of generic searchers#Traps|generic searchers]].
* This can be [[chain]]ed to an opponent's card effect that would destroy it, such as "[[Mystical Space Typhoon]]", "[[Dust Tornado]]", "[[Fortune Lady Wind]]" or "[[Breaker the Magical Warrior]]", effectively destroying 2 monsters for free (although if your opponent only controls one face-up Attack Position Monster, then one of yours will be destroyed).
* Use this in conjunction with "[[Kuraz the Light Monarch]]", "[[Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys]]", "[[Dark Nephthys]]", "[[Hannibal Necromancer|hannibal necromancer]]" or "[[Mobius the Frost Monarch]]" to easily destroy your opponent's monsters.
* Select two of your opponent's monsters with this card, then suicide one of your monsters to destroy two of your opponent's monsters with one attack. Use cards that can [[Special Summon]] other monsters so you can attack directly. Good recommendations are "[[Mystic Tomato]]", "[[UFO Turtle]]" or "[[Masked Dragon]]".
:* This card can also be used as defensively when your opponent attacks your weaker monster with a stronger monster.
* You can use this card to select one monster on your field, and one monster on your opponent's field you wish to destroy. You can then use the selected monster for a [[Synchro Summon]] or [[Normal Summon]] and destroy your opponent's monster. Alternatively You can suicide you weaker monster into the stronger monster and destroy them both.
* You can set this card and "[[Compulsory Evacuation Device]]" while "[[Fortune Lady Light]]" is on the field so that you can return "Fortune Lady Light" to your hand and destroy the opponent's monster and summon another "[[Fortune Lady]]" monster.
* Using "[[Double Cyclone]]", "[[The Six Samurai - Kamon]]" or "[[Harpies' Hunting Ground]]" are other ways to destroy your own "Widespread Dud". Of the above, "Double Cyclone" is the best because it will destroy one of your opponent's Spell or Trap cards.
* This card works well with "[[Cyber Shadow Gardna]]". If it is not destroyed on your opponent's turn, this card will be destroyed when "Gardna" is [[Set]], thus whatever other monster you [[Target]]ed will be destroyed also.
* This card works well with cards that removes monster from the field, such as "[[Self-Mummification]]", "[[Mystik Wok]]" or "[[Destruct Potion]]","[[Lava Golem]]", "[[Volcanic Queen]]" or "[[Santa Claws]]" . It also also works well with monster that remove themselves from the field such as "[[Prior of the Ice Barrier]]" or "[[Stardust Dragon]]"
