Card Trivia:Axe of Despair
- The international artwork version of this axe appears in the artworks of "Crossline Counter" and "Rose Curse".
- This card has a counterpart: "Archfiend's Staff of Despair".
- This card has appeared with its edited international artwork in the Japanese versions of both the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's anime.
- Though the face has been removed for censorship in the international version of this card, the red outline around the axe has retained its shape from the Japanese version, which is noticeably jagged around the head of the axe.
- In the Japanese Magic Ruler card set, this card along with many other Equip Spell Cards have the Equip Spell icon in the middle of the text that states its identity as a monster.
