- This card's OCG/TCG artwork is taken from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel 10: "The Cards with Teeth (Part 2)", specifically from the panel showing this monster being Summoned.
- This monster has a retrained counterpart: "Enraged Battle Ox".
- Either this monster or "Enraged Battle Ox", appears in the artworks of "Triggered Summon", "The Unselected One", "Pixie Ring", and "Rookie Fight".
- The Bandai version of this card is Level 6 and has 2400 ATK, whereas the Konami version is Level 4 and has 1700 ATK.
- This card's Japanese name (also used in the manga) is a reference to the Greek monster, the Minotaur, which is also a humanoid bull monster.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! Dark Duel Stories, when this monster is Summoned, it instantly discards all Pyro-Type monsters from the opponent's hand.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards and Yu-Gi-Oh! Reshef of Destruction, this monster instead has the ability to destroy all Pyro-Type monsters on the opponent's field.
- For some reason, in videogames such as Yu-Gi-Oh! The Duelists of the Roses, the 3-D model of this monster had its midsection recolored black.
- This monster can be seen in the Tablet of Lost Memories serving as one of Priest Seto's monsters.
- Its tablet version was also seen with Priest Seto in episode 52.
- This card's name may be a pun on the phrase "battle-axe".
- At Joey and Kaiba's first duel, Yugi warned Joey that this card is resistant to Fire. In the card game, this card possesses no such ability.
- The icon for Beast-Warrior-Type monsters in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Duel Transer is based on this monster.
