Card Trivia:Diabolos, King of the Abyss
- This card has a LIGHT counterpart, "Lightray Diabolos".
- Diabolos is Greek for 'Devil' or 'The Devil'. In the Bible, the Devil assumes the form of a dragon during his battle with the archangel Michael.
- This card's Japanese name translates to "Demon King Diabolos". The Japanese names of this card, "Lich Lord, King of the Underworld" and "Prometheus, King of the Shadows" each correspond to the Japanese names of each of the original three "Virus" cards; in this case, "Deck Devastation Virus".
- "Diabolos, King of the Abyss" has a similar TCG name to "Dark King of the Abyss". This may be because the latter was the "King of the Abyss" before he was demoted by "Dark Ruler Ha Des".
- This card's art is similar to "Dark Lucius" and its other variations.
- This card's Level, Attribute, Type, ATK, and DEF is identical to that of "Dark Armed Dragon".
- This card is one of the few cards to not have its demonic horns removed. This may be because they are relatively hard to see in the card's artwork.
