  • This card was the only non-Big Five Deck Master used twice. In both cases by Joey Wheeler who summoned it to the field in both duels in one of the last turns.
  • This card has an anime and video game only counterpart, "Blue Flame Swordsman" whose first effect is almost identical to Flame Swordsman's Deck Master Ability and whose second effect is to summon Flame Swordsman when it's destroyed.
