- The "Invader of Darkness" has appeared in the artwork of several cards, commonly depicting his battle against "Marauding Captain" and "Gagagigo". This is most apparent in "Absolute End" and "Spirit Barrier", where he is shown attacking one of the men of "Marauding Captain", but "Gagagigo" is standing in the way. He also appears in "Penalty Game!" and "Chain Summoning", where he is being pulled out by "Field-Commander Rahz". He appears in the artwork of "Memory of an Adversary", apparently having been defeated by "Gogiga Gagagigo" alongside "Inpachi".
- The appearance of the "Invader of Darkness" loosely resembles the Fantastic Four's villain, 'Dr. Doom'.
- There is only one monster with the exact same Level, ATK, and DEF as "Invader of Darkness", the "Tyrant Dragon".
- This card is an addition of cards that share their name with a booster set's name or subtitle. "Invader of Darkness" (sharing both its TCG name and its OCG name with an OCG set - TCG name as set name, OCG name as subtitle). Others include "Curse of Anubis", "Cyberdark Impact!", "Light of Destruction", "Pharaoh's Servant", "Pharaonic Protector" (whose OCG name is used as the subtitle for the OCG Pharaonic Guardian set), "Labyrinth of Nightmare" and "Soul Resurrection" (whose OCG name is used as the subtitle for the OCG Mythological Age set).
- More including: "The Sanctuary in the Sky" (whose OCG name is used as the subtitle for the OCG The Sanctuary in the Sky set) and "Generation Force card" which sharing the same name with the set name Generation Force.
- Moreover there is the first card that's sharing the same name with Structure Deck set name; "Roar of the Sea Emperor" which has the same name with its set Structure Deck: Realm of the Sea Emperor.
