- "Kuriboh" roughly translates to "chestnut person" in Japanese. It is also the Japanese name for the Super Mario Bros. enemy known in America as "Goomba".
- "Kuriboh" has 5 counterparts, "Winged Kuriboh", "Wretched Ghost of the Attic", "Hanewata", Watapon, and "Kuribon".
- "Kuriboh" appears in the artwork of "Gift of the Weak" and "The Flute of Summoning Kuriboh".
