  • This might be a reference to the sculpture "Laocoön and His Sons", which depicts the Trojan priest Laocoön fighting a sea serpent.
  • A possible reason they could be fighting is because they have opposite effects. Yamata Dragon makes you draw until you have the maximum amount of cards you can hold without discard (after it returns to your hand), while Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi makes your opponent discard all cards in their hand. Another possible opposite is that Yamata Dragon has 200 less ATK and 200 more DEF while Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi has 200 more ATK and 200 less DEF
