  • The 'Levia' part of this monster's name may be a derivation of Leviathan, a sea serpent in Hebrew mythology described in the Biblical Book of Job. Modern scholars believe the Leviathan was in fact a crocodile.
  • In Greek mythology, Daedalus was the father of Icarus and Iapyx, and is said to have designed the labyrinth in which the Minotaur was kept.
  • "Daedalus Bridge", a landmark near where Crow's hideout is located in Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's is named after this monster.
