  • The 'Levia' part of this monster's name may be a derivation of Leviathan, a sea monster described in the Biblical Book of Job. Some modern scholars believe the Leviathan was a crocodile.
    • Also, Leviathan in Hebrew means whale.
  • In Greek mythology, Daedalus was the father of Icarus and Iapyx, and is said to have designed the suit that aided in the inception of the Minotaur and designed the labyrinth in which the Minotaur was kept after birth.
  • This card has an 'infant' form, "Codarus".
  • This card has an evolved form, "Ocean Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus". The head in the picture of this card seems like it is composed of 2 separate heads combined together. The evolution to "Neo-Daedalus" may have occured when these 2 heads completely fell apart and broke up into 2 separate heads.
    • The head of "Daedalus" is similar to the head of "Slifer the Sky Dragon", except that "Slifer" having 2 pieces of mouth & 1 pair of eyes while "Daedalus" have 1 piece of mouth & 2 pairs of eyes.
      • The head also resembles that of "Rainbow Dragon", having four eyes and a large plate on top. They also share the small fin/wing behind their eyes.
