- This is likely a reference to Mahāvairocana also being seen as the embodiment of the Buddhist concept of Emptiness, which relates to meditation.
- In Yu-Gi-Oh! episode 103: "Freeze Play, Part 2", when Téa Gardner asks Yugi Muto which card in his Deck is most like him, he replies that while "Dark Magician" is most like Yami Yugi, this card is most like him because it has a "hidden power".
