• This is a Semi-Nomi monster in OCG, but a Nomi monster in TCG.

• This card's masks appear to be of voodoo nature. In voodoo culture, in order for spirits to manifest in the physical world a number of them have to unite under the guidance of one spirit. Seeing as how this card has three masks, it is possible that they refer to the spirits this monster is composed of.
  • The original name of "Grand Tiki Elder", another of the potential monsters that can be Tributed to Summon this card, is "Masked Witch Doctor Cursed Gyura". Both the terms "witch doctor" and "curse" are black magic references, applicable to voodoo

• This card's OCG/TCG artwork is taken from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duelist - Duel 129, specifically from the panel where it is shown being Summoned.
  • However, this monster's left arm is raised, whereas it is lowered in its manga appearance.
