- Mama Quilla is the Inca goddess of the moon and wife of Inti, god of the sun.
- The word Quilla means moon in the Quechua Language.
- This monster is the opposite of "Sun Dragon Inti":
- "Inti" is a Synchro Monster; "Quilla", although it's also a Synchro Monster in the OCG, is a Dark Synchro Monster in the anime.
- "Inti" is LIGHT; "Quilla" is DARK.
- Both cards are drawn in opposite poses
- They have opposite color schemes
- In "Inti's" center, there is a sun, in "Quilla", it's a moon.
- In the OCG/TCG, "Inti's" effect reflects damage; "Quilla's" absorbs damage.
- In the OCG/TCG, "Inti" resurrects "Quilla" later on while "Quilla" resurrects "Inti" right away.
- This card's effect wherein it summons itself if "Sun Dragon Inti" is destroyed, and "Sun Dragon Inti" if it is destroyed mirrors the solar and lunar cycle.
- Unlike other Dark Synchro Monsters, "Quilla" does not list a DARK Tuner as its Tuner Monster, but a Specific Monster "Supay", who is EARTH and it has no restrictions on the other Synchro Material Monsters.
- This card is the first Dark Synchro Monster to make it into a regular Booster Pack as a Synchro Monster.
- The effect of this card is a watered down version of Enchanted Javelin.
