• "Jar Robber" was created specifically to counter this card.

• This is one of the four Forbidden cards that has its effect featured in "Fuh-Rin-Ka-Zan".

• Following the reprint of this card in Duelist Pack: Kaiba, "Pot of Greed" now has the shortest lore in the game, with only 13 characters.

• According to the "master guide" whoever tries to take their hand out of the pot of greed will cause the pot to explode
