- This card bears a great resemblance to the Balrog from Peter Jackson's film trilogy, The Lord of the Rings, based on the novel by J. R. R. Tolkein.
- This monster appears to be the antithesis of "Stardust Dragon". Their poses mirror each other and have opposite color schemes. Also their effects oppose each other as well. Stardust Dragon focuses on protecting monsters from being destroyed, as this card's effect focuses on destroying opposing monsters.
- Red Dragon Archfiend (Red Demons Dragon) bears a name similar to B. Skull Dragon (Black Demon's Dragon). Both cards are also demon themed with horns.
- This cards ATK is the same as "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", "VWXYZ-Dragon Catapult Cannon"/"Armed Dragon LV10", "Destiny End Dragoon and "Ancient Gear Golem", the key cards of the rivals from previous Yu-Gi-Oh! series, Seto Kaiba, Chazz Princeton, Aster Phoenix and Vellian Crowler respectively. Jack Atlas, the owner of this card, is also a rival of Yusei Fudo, the protagonist of Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's.
- This card's effect of destroying other monsters when it attacks is similar to the effect of Ancient Dragon.
- Of the five Signer Dragons, this card is the only one not to be featured as a Cover Card or a Ghost Rare. Instead, this card's Assault Mode, Red Dragon Archfiend/Assault Mode is featured on the cover of Crimson Crisis and is the Ghost Rare of the set, while Majestic Red Dragon is the Cover Card of Absolute Powerforce and is the Ghost Rare of that set.
- This card appears to be based off of the dragon in the paintings of the Great Red Dragon by William Blake.
- This card has the highest ATK out of the five Signer Dragons.
- This monster's attack name in Japanese, "Absolute Power Force", shares its name with Absolute Powerforce, one of the booster packs.
- This card resembles Diablos, the Guardian Force (GF) in Final Fantasy VIII.
