• The original Lamia was a demon in Greek mythology. She was formerly one of the many lovers of Zeus, until a vengeful Hera slew her children in revenge. Apparently mad with grief, Lamia began preying on and devouring other children, turning into a demonic creature. In modern times, the name "lamia" is often synonymous with "vampire" or "ghoul".

• This is the first and so far only Synchro Monster to be part of a Dark Signer Archetype.
